Force is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about south of Ancona and about northwest of Ascoli Piceno.Force is Part of the community Montana of the Sibillini mountains. The name of "Force" derive from "pitchfork" as it is located between the Aso valley, that of the Tesino and Tronto. The settlement dates back to the fifth century A.D. because of the barbarian invasions the peoples of neighboring countries, they found shelter because of its strategic position from a defensive point of view.
